Tiffany Larson was born in Alaska, raised
in Hawaii, and moved to the Northwest during her sophomore
year of highschool. She graduated from Upper Columbia Academy
in Spangle, WA and attended Andrews University for her
first year of college. She spent a year on the Gold Coast
of Australia as a student missionary, youth pastoring for
two churches and then found herself back at Andrews pursueing
a degree in International Communication. She spends her
weekends and spare time outdoors with friends hiking, cycling,
climbing, backpacking, swimming, and whatever else the
season permits. She did her Junior year of college at Southwestern
Adventist University in Texas and currently attends Southern
Adventisty University in Tennessee. She will graduate with
a B.S. in Health Science and plans on going onto graduate
school. She loves spending her summers working at camp
and visiting her parents and sister in Oregon. After school
she plans on doing mission work in South America.
Note- After filming the show Tiffany did go back to the dinosaur
dig in Wyoming and helped excavate nearly a thousand bones
that summer.
 Height: 6 feet
Favorite Food: Mediterranean and Mexican
Favorite Verse: Isaiah 40:31 and Jeremiah 29:11
Favorite Scientific Fact: That there are so many things about life and this earth
that can't be explained.
Favorite Scientist and why: Dr.
Chadwick. I was really impressed by the amount of knowlege
he has but
even more impressed
by his humility. Talk to him and you'll find
out he's an intelligent scientist. Watch him and you'll
know
that he's
a Christian.
Person you admire most and why: My parents because they don't settle for mediocre lives.
They are
seekers of
adventure, knowlege, and most importantly God. What you liked most about the trip: Traveling nearly
8000 miles around this beautiful country.
The Grand
Canyon was
amazing (of course) but I loved being surprised
by the beauty of places, like the forests of
Kentucky and the
Arizona desert.
(I have to admit i t was also pretty cool walking
around with a microphone and cameras following
me.)
What you
disliked most about the trip: Not
knowing enough about science to argue intelligently
with Matt, and being at crowded
RV parks
What you took away from the
experience/journey: Well besides learning how to do the glamorous
job of emptying
an RV sewage tank, this trip helped me
realize
how important it is to know what I believe and why. We have
to know where we came from in order to really
know where
we are going. Career
Goal: I want to do mission
work. I'll become an Occupational Therapist but I
don't want that to limit other possibilities. I'll
probably be
one of those people with 5 degrees and 30 different jobs before
I die.
Favorite place: The wilderness.
I can't decide between the mountains or the water...I'll
take them both.
